The Tokoroa Welding Staff

Peter Bridson

Peter Bridson

Originally a contractor since leaving school he changed to farm management, then sharemilking with wife Kathy in 1983. He'd always carried out his own maintenance on contracting & farm equipment. Nothing has changed from the time he was a boy, pulling his toys apart to find out how they worked. After 13 years of farming they moved to Tokoroa and started up Tokoroa Welding. In 2007 he expanded his skill set again by buying SolidWorks & learning to build his designs in 3D.

Kathy Bridson

Kathy Bridson

Kathy, a born and bred country girl, started out a laboratory technician back in 1973 before getting into farming with husband Peter. Her role in Tokoroa Welding was originally office work, but the overalls never really came off and she can be seen welding and finishing up jobs. A multi-talented woman to be sure.

Darren Toms

Darren Toms

Darren joined part time in 2004, working alongside Peter. On top of his welding and engineering skills, his analytical skill is a valuable asset. He's fortunate to have a personality that fits in well with the Tokoroa Welding atmosphere. Darren runs an online importing business DPT Importers with products from intercoolers to ink cartridges.

Karina Bridson

Karina Bridson

Returning from Japan in 2007, Karina started learning the 3D modelling CAD program SolidWorks to help Peter with the design side of things and took over the majority of the paperwork in the office. Her other task is designing and maintaining this site. She also has a manga (Japanese comic book) translation site Serendipitisme.
